Terms of Service

These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of thatcorner, including our website, web application, AI‑powered menu assistant, and any related services (collectively, the “Platform”). By accessing or using thatcorner, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform.

1) About thatcorner

thatcorner is a digital and AI‑powered menu experience that allows users to browse menus, interact with an AI menu assistant, and engage with restaurant offerings via web or QR‑based interfaces. thatcorner does not operate restaurants, prepare food, or fulfill orders.

2) Eligibility

To use the Platform, you must:

  • Be at least 18 years old, or the legal age in your jurisdiction
  • Have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement

If you use thatcorner on behalf of a business, you confirm that you are authorized to do so.

3) Using the Platform

You agree to use thatcorner:

  • Only for lawful and legitimate purposes
  • In a way that does not disrupt, damage, or misuse the Platform
  • Without attempting to bypass security, access restricted systems, or interfere with AI functionality

You must not:

  • Input misleading, abusive, or illegal content
  • Use the Platform to impersonate others or misrepresent information
  • Attempt to reverse‑engineer, scrape, or exploit the Platform

We reserve the right to restrict or suspend access for misuse or abuse.

4) AI‑Generated Information

thatcorner uses artificial intelligence to generate menu‑related responses and recommendations.
You acknowledge that:

  • AI responses are informational only
  • Menu items, prices, availability, allergens, and dietary details may change
  • You should always confirm critical information directly with the restaurant

thatcorner does not guarantee the accuracy or completeness of AI‑generated responses.

5) Restaurants & Third Parties

Menus and related content are provided by restaurants or third‑party partners.
thatcorner:

  • Is not responsible for food quality, service, pricing, or availability
  • Is not a party to any transaction between you and a restaurant
  • Does not handle food preparation, delivery, or refunds unless explicitly stated

Any disputes regarding food, service, or charges must be resolved directly with the restaurant.

6) Payments & Transactions (If Applicable)

If the Platform enables redirection to payments or third‑party checkout:

  • Payments are processed by third‑party providers
  • thatcorner does not store full payment card details
  • Transaction terms are governed by the restaurant and payment provider

7) Accounts (If Applicable)

If you create an account:

  • You are responsible for keeping your credentials secure
  • All activity under your account is your responsibility
  • You must provide accurate and up‑to‑date information

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

8) Intellectual Property

All content, software, AI systems, branding, and design elements on the Platform are owned by or licensed to thatcorner.
You are granted a limited, non‑exclusive, non‑transferable right to use the Platform for personal or internal business use only.
You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, or modify any part of the Platform without written permission.

9) Privacy & Data

Your use of the Platform is subject to our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use, and protect personal data.
By using thatcorner, you acknowledge that:

  • Interactions may be processed to deliver and improve the Platform
  • Industry‑standard security measures are applied
  • Data is handled in accordance with applicable data protection laws

10) Availability & Changes

We may:

  • Modify or update features
  • Suspend access temporarily for maintenance or security reasons
  • Discontinue parts of the Platform at any time

We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error‑free operation.

11) Disclaimer

The Platform is provided “as is” and “as available.”
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, including implied warranties of accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose, and non‑infringement.

12) Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law:

  • thatcorner is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
  • Our total liability shall not exceed the amount (if any) paid by you to thatcorner in the 12 months preceding the claim

13) Termination

We may suspend or terminate access to the Platform at any time if:

  • These Terms are violated
  • Required by law
  • Necessary to protect the Platform or users

You may stop using the Platform at any time.

14) Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates.

  • Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the UAE, unless otherwise required by applicable law.
